Where Are The Birds?

Are you noticing less bird activity at your feeders? Not to worry, this is due to all the nice weather we've been experiencing and the lack of snow cover on the ground, trees and bushes. With plenty of seeds, fruit and nuts exposed birds are just foraging more from the natural world than from our feeders. According to WCVB, by the end of the first week of January 2018 there was 22.6 inches of snow on the ground. By the same date this year we had .2 inches! That can't last forever. Once we have our first big snowstorm, the birds will be back.
